From time to time we get requests for help researching Waikato Militia. This is one area we don't cover.

There are a range of places where one can look on line.  Just enter Waikato Militia in Google or your search engine .

One place for those who know they have a 3rd Waikato man, the Cambridge Museum website is worth a visit. They have a list of these men and also a section that gives some biographical details.

There is also another site online that lists Irish men who were in the 4th Waikato.

FamilySearch has the Nominal & descriptive rolll  of 1st - 4th Waikato Regiment.

Also check out Kura - NZ Militia, Volunteers & Armed Constabulary.  Auckland City Library.

If anyone can prove a Waikato Regiment soldier had previous British military involvement please let us know so we can include them in our database.
